  help creating guest book

  I have a client that wants me to build a site that allows visitors to make comments. The business is a funeral home and visitors would be able to post condolence to family, both private and/or public that other people visiting site could see. I saw something similar that was called a guest book, but not sure if that is what I am looking for. I don’t want software they have to extra or monthly fees with. Ideas on how to do this? And what would be the easiest way for them to be able to update their obits site with current ()past 30 days) and then archive obits? Thanks.
