I have a piece of video that plays on the desk top no problem but once brought into Red becomes static and renders static. I have tried it in various formats with no luck.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Chris-
If you can contact us in support with the type of file you’re trying to import and even a copy of it if it’s possible, we’d definitely be able to work through to a solution with you.

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Best,
    James

Originally the file type was Apple H.264 which didn’t work but using Apple ProRes 422 worked!

I have experienced this problem with RED from time to time too. It happened a number of times with video clips we downloaded from https://www.videoblocks.com. They play ok in QuickTime but in RED they are static. Converting to ProRes made them work with RED.
