  Transfer question

  First time transfer user. Exported an AAF from Avid MC 6 (10.7.3) with media to move to another mac with AE CS5 (10.6.8).

  AE imports the AAF, but has placeholderrs for the media and won’t relink. Avid codecs are installed on the AE machine.

  Any thoughts? I don’t need MC on the After Effects machine do I?

  Hi,

  No, you do not have to have MC on the system in order for that to work but I’d like to suggest that you read through the PDF at this link to understand the workflow:

  Yes, I saw and followed the directions in that PDF several times, although I may have missed something. I ended up using Automatic Duck which worked perfect. Thanks again for the response… still waiting to hear back from Boris support.
