  Zoom Out Video Grid effect

  My client wants me to do that effect where you have a full screen clip that falls back into 3D space along with a grid of other video clips, and then almost like a mosaic, turns into another image. I don’t know how else to explain it, but I’ve seen the effect numerous times. I’ve begun manually setting up a grid of clips in a 6480×4374 precomp and then putting that in a master comp(720×486) and manipulating 3D position. Works okay, but is EXTREMELY slow due to the size. Am I doing this right? Is there a plugin that I don’t know about?

  if you have the “matrix creator” plug-in from digital anarchy, you could set this up really quickly; you wont have to create every single layer by hand. You can always download the demo from their site as well.
