  Using RED 5.05.165, turned off layers in EPS are visible and two copies of eps do not line up

  Using AI CS5, create an Adobe Illustrator file with outlined text and simple graphics, save it as V8 format. Bring this file in as a source using 3D line art mode. In AI, turn off visibility of text layers and save it to a different file in V8 format. Create another track, bring in the file with hidden text and the text is still visible. Delete the newly created track.

  Using AI, select, delete the text and save the file with a new name in V8 format, add the file to a new track using the same 3D line art mode. The position of the graphics is shifted when viewed in the comp window versus the version with the text visible. The files show identical size in AI and other tools.
