Boris and Adobe CS 5.5
Posted by Ronn Varnell on May 7, 2011 at 2:16 pmI have migrated to Adobe CS5.5 from CS5.0 on a Mac Pro. How do I migrate Boris Continuum Complete AE7 and Final Effects Complete 6 AE to 5.5. Or…can I reinstall the Boris products to 5.5 using the original disks?
Any help will be appreciated.

The license stored on your computer will be respected by the new installers. If you have any further questions, please contact our sales or support.

May 15, 2011 at 7:01 amToday I used the latest installer from your website and it did not install to 10.5 (CS5.5).
I could see no mechanism to manually redirect the installer to a different (5.5) directory.
I understand it is a new release by Adobe and it takes vendors time to respond. At what point will there be a installation workaround…or an updated installer that discerns the presence of 5.5?
Thank you.

May 15, 2011 at 4:39 pmOn Friday the BCC AE 7 installers with CS 5.5 options were taken down for a quick adjustment, and they will be reposted tomorrow. We’d noticed a couple filters were unavailable.
For today, on Macintosh,
Copy the folder
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS5/MediaCore/Boris Continuum Complete 7.0
which holds the pluginsinto the folder:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS5.5/MediaCore/The plugins had been approved for Adobe CS 5.5, and the installers with Light Zoom and DeNoise Grain will be posted, again, tomorrow.

So all the same plugins are included and have the same functionality, correct?
I can wait til tomorrow when there is an installer.
