Activity Forums Boris FX Time parameter in BCC7

  • Time parameter in BCC7

I have BCC 7 for Vegas and would like to use the BCC Lens blur.

Is it possible to give a “time” to this effect as I want it to be blurry at the start and ‘unblur’ over a period of time to become ‘normal’ again.

Would like to do the same with other filters like for ex. bcc damaged TV go from very damaged to undamaged after a few seconds.

So where would I need to put this ‘time’ parameter.

    Thanks for your advice.

You have a choice of animating Scale XY or Iris Scale for different types of blur animations.

In addition to this, most of the BCC and FEC filters include a function located at the bottom of the filter controls that is labelled Mix with Original. You can animate the value of this parameter to blend the filtered image back with the original unfiltered input clip. A value of zero would yield the filtered result, while a value of 100 would render only the unfiltered input clip.

    I hope this helps,

    Peter.

Thanks to both answers. Works perfectly and this is what I was looking for.
