  • Optical Stabilizer Freezes on Analysis

    Hi everybody!

I am running the just-downloaded demo version of Optical Stabilizer in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4 on Mac OS 10.6.3.

    In Premiere:

Every time I click on “Click to Analyze” the analysis dialogue window pops up, completes, but will not disappear. Hitting “cancel” does not work, and the dialogue window blocks me from continuing in Premiere. It allows me to save and quit when hitting Ctrl+Q, and I can continue working with the analyzed clip.

    In After Effects:

Same issue, but upon freezing at 100%, it freezes AE entirely.

I’ve tried reinstalling the plugin, deleting Premiere’s cache, everything.

I would love to buy this plugin, but if I’m going to have problems like this…

    Can anybody help me out?

    Thanks in advance!

    Alex,

What version of BCC are you running?

    Matt,

I’m using the latest download offered from Boris’s website, BCC 6.

    Alex,

Just to clarify. Are you running the full version of BCC which is on BCC 7.0.2 Or are you running the Optical Stabilizer Unit which is on a version of BCC 6?

Also what is the exact version of Premiere Pro you are running?

I would recommend you download the trial for the full version of BCC 7 and see if the Optical Stab. filter there gives you a better result.

    Matt,

Good call. I am running just the Optical Stabilizer unit from BCC 6 with Premiere Pro 4.2.1 and After Effects 9.0.2.

I’ll go ahead and see if the full BCC 7 Optical Stabilizer will work better.

Thank you for your quick responses!

    Hi Matt!

BCC 7 is much more stable. No crashes.

Now I guess I just have to wait until they start selling just the units for version 7, haha.

Thanks so much for your help and suggestions!

    Alex,

If you purchase the unit you can use the unlock code to unlock just the Optical Stab. filter.

The units are planned to be updated but I don’t know an ETA.
