    Hi there.

For some reason, my Boris 3D-title and textscrambler freezes when the edit-text window is open
and i fiddle with text-Leading, or other settings.

Then i just cant press apply, nor close the window.

This is the second computer i’m running my FCP 6.01 on, and it’s happend. So it’s not the computer!

    WTF?!

I love using Boris. Is easy, smooth, but crashes all the time.

    Max,

What is the nature of the crash? What OS version are you running?

Can you try deleting the Title 3d preferences file:

To delete the preferences for the Title 3D Application navigate to Macintosh HD :: Users :: :: Library :: Preferences.

The preference file is named “com.borisfx.Title 3D”. Locate the file and delete it.

Let me know if this helps!

    It’s A Mac OS X Vers. 10.5.8

The nature of it’s crash? The edit-text window crashes, and won´t let me operate in in, nor appaly, cancel etc. It just freezes.

I’m not in a FX plug in or Boris special programme. I just use the Title3d and textscramble that comes
with my purcased version of FCP. 6.01.

I could understand if it was some pirate download stuff. But i payed good money for the programme 🙁

    Hope the info helps?

Okay… I was stressing a bit here, the last minute to deliver assignment. I’m sorry for that!

I have sucessfully located the file. com.borisfx.Title 3D under Prefrences.

But won’t this ruin the textappearence for the FCP sequence-title 3d text i have created?

    It shouldn’t.

But if you’re worried, to be safe, just pull the file out to your desktop. Relaunch Final Cut and then see if it acts better.

If it does you know that was the issue. If it doesn’t and it ruins your text you can replace the old file back.

Give it a shot and let me know.

i’m having the same issue with FCP 7. Trashed prefs…no help…restart and it will work for a while then it hangs again. No ideas from Boris yet to fix the prob.
