  Magazine open using page turn effect

  I want to create a mag open using a curled page turn, on Avid. The problem is when you crop into the edges of the magazine cover and turn on alt back side, the crops do not follow to the back side. If this effect is even possible, what is the layer priority for the inside cover page and the revealed page on the timeline?

  Hi,

  If you are using Boris RED this is a piece of cake and very easy to accomplish, however if you are using BCC then the solution to this problem is a little less straightforward. Before commenting on a solution, can you tell me which application you are using please … is it RED or BCC?

  If you’re using BCC AVX and you want to use the alternate back function and apply geometric changes to the clip, then I suggest that you perform the geometric changes (crop and scale) using the Avid resize tool and adding the BCC Page Turn after you resize and crop the clip.
