We just recently downloaded the trial version of Red 4.1 and have a specific function that we want to accomplish. We do sports videos, hockey, football, volleyball and we want to single out one player with a matte that will follow them through a clip so that we can change the background, either blurring it, changing the collor, etc. I bought a book called instant boris effects, but I’m unclear which effect might do it. Rotoscoping might do it by building a spline and then adjusting it for each frame, but, is that the best way. Or, is their and easier way once I set the spline on the first frame?
