Activity Forums Boris FX length of composition

In Premiere, I make a new Grafitti comp – adjust the duration to say 10 sec (which you need to do by right clicking, you cannot drag to length)
But when you are in Grafitti, the length is one second with no apparent way to chang eit.
    What am I missing?

Thanks for your help – I feel like a newbie all over again. Nostalgic.

    Hi Mike,

Are you making a 10 second black video slug or a 10 second video clip and applying the Graffiti effect to that? If so then the Graffiti effect when applied will absolutely be 10 seconds, as it is always the length of the media to which is was applied. When you are in Graffiti, what length does the duration numeric entry box display? It should show 10 seconds.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

yes I figured this out. I have made a dummy nested sequence to use as a template. The nested sequence contains a black clip with transparency set to 0%, that way I can have transparent elements in my composition, should I want the underlying tracks to show through.
The workflow is different than anticipated, but it appears I had better learn to like it!
