Is an HP XW8000 dual 3GHz with 2GB ram and an Nvidia 980XGL card enough to handle HD renders? I’ve got someone who is trying it but runs into some unspecified RED error that suggests “logging” be turned on. I don’t know what it means, but the Boris error log isn’t updating when this happens.

The card is enough but I’m not sure about the error.

It was one I’d never seen before. It’d be nice to get a definitive answer, as the alternative means going in and trying to do the same thing on a DS Nitris.

    An update:

The “error” didn’t show up in the log even after logging was turned on, so I have no idea what’s up with that. However, even though it wouldn’t render a HD Quicktime, it does appear to be able to render a HD Targa sequence.
