Snow effect
Anyone have any experience with it? Does it look real?

There are several snow presets in the Keyframe Library. Render out all the thumbnails in there and take a look. I’ve used it a few times and I think it looks decent.

It can look realistic….but you have to play around with the settings. I find that you have to add some chaos. Snow rarely falls straight down, there is wind moving it around. Chaos helps create this illusion. I also find that the idea of snow sticking to surfaces is a good one, but I find that the snow that is stuck flickers, thus making the snow look fake.
