  Text moving jittery in AE

  I’m using AE 6.5 on a quad 2.5 GHz mac. When I animate a text layer, no matter what kind of animation move, it doesn’t move smoothly, but kind of jitters across the screen. Can anyone help me out here?

  I do see it in RAM preview and rendered. It’s SD 720X480 D1 29.97, but it does it at any settings. The strange thing is, once the layer is pre-composed, it plays smoothly, which is an OK work-around, I guess.

  Where do you change the rendering frame or field only, and does that affect ram preview?
