  • Spinning Beach Ball when saving after Pre-compose

    Hi,

After adding one effect to a layer (Algolith Noise Reduction) and making a Pre-comp and checking move all attributes into the new composition I get the following error message:
“After Effects error: AEGP can’t get footage from non-footage item (5027 $ 9).”

At that point I can continue to work and everything functions properly but if I try to save the project I get a spinning beach ball and have to force quit. AE writes a corrupt or invalid project file with a name like “AEtemp-821EC-FilmDVNR.aep”.

If anyone has any idea how to resolve this issue I would really appreciate it!

    Best Wishes,

    Mitch

    Hi,

By creating the Pre-comp before I added a second layer I can get rid of the error message but I STILL get the spinning beach ball when I try to save the project.

    Thanks,

    Mitch
