Hey does anyone know how to use the clone tool in AE’s Liquefy? I assumed it worked the same as Photoshop’s, but it doesn’t… how do you select a source clone area and start painting away? Even a link to an existing tutorial would be good.

The only tutorial I’ve ever seen that uses Liquefy is Andrew Kramers Demon Face Warp. He doesn’t go very in-depth into its capabilities/settings, but it’s a start.

Yeah, that’s where I first saw Liquefy, and noticed the clone tool, but still can’t figure it out… when all else fails, read the documentation… 😛

The Clone Tool inside the Liquify effect only clones the liquifed effect. In other words it helps duplicate liquified areas, so it only clones the effect not the image underneath it. If you nudge something you can clone that exact same nudge on another part of the image. Hope that helps.
