morphing in AE?
Hello to all…
I used to use Shake from apple for compositing, but it was just so confusing to me and that is why I switched to AE. The one thing I did like in shake though was the morphing tool. Does AE have anything like that or could someone tell how you would approach this in AE?Thanks

AE has an effect under Distort > Reshape that will allow you to move the pixels from one target mask to another ‘morphing’ the intermediate pixels. It will require the Reshape effect applied to both the source and destination footage of the morph and a crossfade (animating the opacities) between them.
All in all it’s a bit complicated and doesn’t work great.
Another solution is RE:Vision Effect’s RE:Flex. Which is easier to use and provides better results. I will say that it takes some time to get used to the way that it works, but once you do it’s fairly simple.
