Is there a slice tool in After Effects to sample color levels?
Hi there: Reading a bood about compositing and it uses a tool called a ‘slice tool’ on almost every page.
Does after Effects have one?
IF not, where can I get one?

After Effects doesn’t have one. Actually, most compositing tools don’t have one. I think Steve Wright (it’s his book you’re referring to) uses Cineon most of the time, which does have a Slice tool I think. But neither Shake nor Digital Fusion come with a Slice tool out of the box.

Oh bother.
That’s okay. I’m downloading the demo version now.
I use Primatte with fantastic success, but there are a couple greenscreen shots that were just not bright enough to give me a good key, but the were the best performances by the actors.
Hoping I can huse this tool to get a cleaner matte.
