When using a Glidecam / Steadicam at an event in the evening: How are you lighting those scenes? I’ve tried lights on stands to varying degrees of success. Some events don’t want lights on stands though. Is anyone using a camera light on the camera? (I use a DSLR for Glidecam shots). Which light are you using? I was thinking of a low weight LED light but am concerned about the light moving/shifting and throwing the balance off….. any thoughts?

I’ve never had an issue with using a light on a stand. I would make sure it was out of the way so nobody trips on it. Or, get an assistant to hold the light on a monopod or legs folded in on a stand.

I wouldn’t use a light on your camera, it looks like an amateur shot it.
