cant install AE on new MAC??? Conflict

AE is compatible with your computer and your OS. Please explain in greater detail the conflict that it reports. Have you had a demo of CS3 installed on this machine previously? What have you installed on the computer since you received it?

I did try to install an older version before I bought the upgrade, maybe that is it….it didnt install due to not being compatible with Leopard so i bought the upgrade. Is there a way to uninstall whatever legacy files it might have left on my system so that I can install from this new disc?

Put in the old version CD or DVD and click on Setup. From there you should have the choice to Repair or Uninstall. Run the uninstaller and then you should be fine to run the CS3 setup. I had a similar issue.
