Shooting in a dusty environment
Not sure if this is the proper forum for this, but I’m about to shoot some footage in a woodworking shop and was wondering if anyone had any tips for keeping the camera clean and free of sawdust/dirt/airborne particles. We’ll be shooting with a Varicam. It tends to get a bit warm by the vent on the top. Is there anything besides a garbage bag and/or Portabrace I can use? Thanks in advance!

What if you cut up some dust mask material and gaffer-taped it over the vents?
My best advice: put the biggest tape or memory card you have in there, before entering the environment, and don’t open the camera again until you’re outside the shop and have used up a can of compressed air blowing the camera off.
