  DLP or LCD ??

  I am in the market for a second projector for video/photo montages at events. I currently use an Epson Powerlite 54C, 2K lumen LCD projector. There are a whole slew of DLP projectors that seem like great deals, but what about the dreaded rainbow effect? I have never seen the output of a DLP – is this rainbow effect a reason not to go the DLP route?

  The rainbow effect won’t be noticed by most. If this is a major concern, go with the Samsung with the LED light engine. My main objection to DLP for events is that the brightness falls off dramatically as you move off axis compared to LCD & Plasma.
