    Hi,
I am wondering what is the quickest way I can capture video on my Sony HD FX-1 and transfer the raw footage onto a DVD. I’ve used the analog signal out of the camera into a Panasonic DMR EH55(I think? the one with the hard drive) and just pressed record while I was shooting, and then I would just burn the disk.
Is there a better way to do this using my computer (MAC G5), that would give me quicker burn speeds and more choices of editing the raw footage if I desire. Is there more professional equipment out there than these consumer DVR’s?
Maybe capturing to a hard drive and then using software to burn it simply?

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Arturo

There is nothing faster than “real time’ as you shoot.

If you record to tape for an hour, and record a DVD on a standalone DVD recorder at the same time, you can finalize the DVD and have it in minutes following your shoot.

Any other method will require a much longer wait-time after the event.
