Editing In FCP7 – Panasonic HVX200A – Mac Pro – A1186 – Apple Cinema A1083 30″
I’m an older experienced SD editor looking to use my older Mac Pro Desktop with a Panasonic HVX200A editing in HD. Sure (it won’t be be fast – rather slow), but I know it ‘can’ be done. In any event was inquiring about ‘mxf format’ and extracting those files from the camera into FCP7. Any helpful hints or anticipated problems would be appreciated thank you!

Well, I hope there are others that still visit this site, there are very few of us who still check it. But I do have a video tutorial on this if you don’t mind me posting that. Follow this tutorial to use Log and Transfer to bring the footage into FCP
