  Why does my audio clip get deleted?

  I’m learning FC after being familiar with iMovie. In iMovie I can select a clip (only the video clip is highlighted yellow) and delete it without affecting my audio track. If I try this in FC for some reason it deletes my unselected audio track. Any ideas how I can edit only the video clips a la iMovie? Thanks much.

  Just unlink the video from the audio. Highlight the clip, go to MODIFY>LINK or press Command “L”. That should do it.
