Buying new Mac and Final Cut Pro X
hello everybody,
i have never used final cut before, but i have watched many videos on it and compared it to other editing softwares and have concluded that this would be the best software for me. i have had lots of experience with editing softwares, so i know it wont be anything too new when i get it. i am also going to purchase a new I Mac that will be able to run it. i just want to make sure that these specs on this Mac that i’m getting will run final cut no problem.

Prepare yourself…it is unlike ANY other editing software out there. Completely different in the way it does just about everything. Which isn’t saying it’s bad, but I am saying it’s VERY different.
Any current Mac will run FCX no problem. Heck, even older macs run it no problem. Also know that the type of footage you will be working with might be a factor. 4K? Might need a Fast hard drive with Thunderbolt for speed in playing it back. AVCHD…will need to be converted, but FCX does that easily and in the background.
But yeah, that mac is fine.

Oh wow, okay I didn’t realise it is that different, I’ll watch a few more videos before purchasing. The highest resolution I’ll be working with will be 1080p so that Mac should be fine. Thanks for the help!
