  VTS VOB / Old Home Movies

  Hello,
  A client came across old home movies from the 30’s, 40’s and so on and had them converted into digital format. She has asked me to pull the highlights together for a birthday celebration and sent me the files on a thumbdrive. The files are in a format I am unfamiliar with and cannot open. ie.: VTS_01_1.VOB

  Any help you can give on opening these files so I can work with them in FCP would be greatly appreciated.

  That is a DVD format. They didn’t give you the DVD, but just the file on the DVD. Use MPEG STREAMCLIP to convert to ProRes NTSC
