  Can’t delete clips in Log and Transfer window – FCP7

  I WANT to delete clips in the Log and Transfer window, FCP 7 but can’t. This has been an efficient workflow for me before, downloading the files to my laptop from the camera onsite, and culling bad takes while shooting continues. Same camera, cable, card and computer as in previous projects.

  But now in the log and transfer window:
  — pressing the “delete” button doesn’t do anything
  –the context menu (option/click) doesn’t offer the option to delete.

  In prior projects I used to have it, but not now.
  — I unlocked everything in the P2 folder.
  — The camera/card is disconnected.

  I’m working strictly from the laptop. Yes, I DO want to permanently delete the selected clips. I don’t want to wait until the project is complete to use media manager. I just (at first) want to delete any technically flawed clips.

  What the heck? Anybody?

  What OS are you running? Anything later than 10.6.8, the last officially supported OS for FCP 7, and you might run into issues of it being fully functional.
