  FCP7 shift delete and text not showing

  FCP 7. I believe I must have accidentally pressed a wrong key and now I cannot use shift delete to close gaps nor can I bring text into the timeline and have the text visible. It just shows black. How to fix this?

  that’s pretty weird
  i’d suggest trashing your preferences.

  if you don’t have digital rebellion’s Preference Manager already, i’d recommend getting it
