• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  File Error: The specified file is locked.

  So I’ve been editing this project for 2 weeks with no problem. Today. I just tried to export on short clio and I get the following message File Error: The specified file is locked.

  What does this mean? I’ve been saving my project to the same external drive all along. Suddenly today this error message appeared. Any thoughts? FCP 7.0.3 on Mac Quad Core intel

  Trash your preferences. That’s the most common solution to this issue

  Thanks Shane. I always trash preferences when faced with an issue like this. That did not do the trick.

  But for some reason restarting my mac seemed to work.
