  crop video

  hi. i recorded a 1280×720 video with my camera and i want to crop a 800×600 part of it and export it with final cut pro. when i use the crop function the output video is still 1280×720 but with black bars around it. is there a way to export a 800×600 video?

  Just add one step to your cropping: go to the Motion tab and increase the size of the cropped clip until it fits the frame again, then you won’t have black bars. or, when you import that clip, crop it a second time to lose the black bars, then scale it as you like.
