  • Which codec shall I use to edit various video sources

    Hi

    I’m preparing an editing (FCP7)

    I have footage from DSLR . MOV (H264, 1080p), from GoPro MP4 (H264, 1080p), from SD video MPEG (720×576)

I want to edit all that stuff with my old and heroic FCP7 and then export it into a software for web design which ask for mp4 970×545

What intermediary codec should I use ? Would Apple Pro Res LT 720p be a good choice ?

    Thanks

Convert to Pro Res 422 (not LT) for everything in the edit. Simple and reliable. MP4 on export, using Compressor.
