  Project/Sequence settings in FCP5 project

  I’m creating a project on FCP 5 (I know it’s old, but it’s what I’ve got to work with right now) with a little bit of NTSC standard video and several high rez photos. The client wants the output to be wide screen, so I figure on some distortion with the video, and she’s ok with that. My question to anyone who would know is, do I need to create the project for wide screen at the start, or do I just set up my sequence for wide screen? Also, if anyone has any suggestions for exactly what settings I should use, I greatly appreciate it.
