  50p to 50i complicated project

  Hello
  I was looking for some advice on an edit I’m doing:

  The images were shot in PAL 720p50 which gave me a file frame size of 1280×720

  I transcoded these files into ProRes 422 keeping the same frame rate and frame size.
  We then did our first cut in Avid.
  we sent the precut to the effects guy for him to integrate his 3d effects.

  For this I made an export “same as source” and keeping frame rate and frame size the same.

  I wanted to check the file so opened it with QT. It stuttered and sometimes froze.
  The effects guy checked it all frame by frame and said the file was ok, no dropped frames or other weird stuff so he’s started working on his 3d parts with our file, he uses after effects and 4d cinema

  Once he’s done he’s going to give us another “same as source” video file and we complete the edit in Avid, trimming a little here and there, adding some sound etc…
  My problem (maybe) is that I’ll have to conform this video file to the shows standard master template : ProRes 422 HQ 50i 1920×1080
  the show is edited on FCP.

  I’m worried that the image may slightly stutter once it goes from 720p50 to 1920x1080i50. Wondering what the best procedure might be to compensate for that eventual catastrophe.
