  Final Cut pro export

  Hello,

  I am new to final cut pro, after having used final cut express for a long time. I am having trouble with the export. Every time I export a video it is 1920×1080. I am looking for 640×480 for my company’s website. I have been putting the videos through handbrake, but it really kills the quality.

  In FCP7, try Export>using Quicktime conversion> and change the settings to suit… or, export the existing movie as self-contained and bring it into Apple Compressor, where you can compress it and add the right dimensions. For people intimidated by Compressor (you shouldn’t be, it’s just drag and drop), you can do some of this in Squared 5’s MPEG STREAMCLIP, a free utility that’s very handy for FCP editors.
