  combining video resolutions in edited clip

  Hi all,

  I’d like to know what’s a good way to combine footage coming from 2 different camera’s, ie. shot on 2 different video resolutions. My camera’s are Canon HV30 (1440 x 1080), and Canon S90 (1280 x 720).
  Obviously I’m shooting on max res on both camera’s. But it seems the footage of the HV30 is 4:3 and the footage of the S90 is 16:9. Any tips on this are appreciated!

  The 1440×1080 pixels from the Canon HV30, may look distorted if you are playing the clips on QT, because those 1440×1080 are not Squared pixels, but HD pixels.
  Import some clips to FC and have a look to the Browser.
  If the definition is 1440×1080, make sure than in the “Pixels Aspect” shows “HD”.
  If so, the movie will play 16×9.

  Edit both footage on a 1280×720 or 1920×1080 sequence. On both cases SQUARED PIXELS.
