  After Effects Crashes on Import

  Using AE as aprt of Adobe Master Collection CS3, and whenever I try to import ANY file, I get the error message:

  ‘An unhandled win32 exception occured in afterFX.exe [3248]’

  in a Visual Studio Just-inTime Debugger window

  I have no idea what the problem is.

  Below is pertinent PC info.

  Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254)
  BIOS: Phoenix – AwardBIOS v6.00PG
  Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33GHz (2 CPUs)
  Memory: 2046MB RAM
  Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
