I am exporting from FCP to compressor for Iphone trouble is there is pillar boxing when played back on iphone on the sides. I am trying to export the following

Name: H.264 for iPod video and iPhone 640×480
Description: H.264 video @ 1500 kbps, progressive, multi-pass. Audio is 44.1 kHz, stereo
    File Extension: m4v
    Estimated file size: 195.71 MB
    Device: iPod/iPhone VGA
    Frame sync rate: 10 seconds
    Video Encoder
    Format: QT
    Width and Height: Automatic
    Selected: 640 x 465
    Pixel aspect ratio: Square
    Crop: None
    Padding: None
    Frame rate: (100% of source)
    Selected: 29.97
    Frame Controls: Automatically selected: Off
    Codec Type: H.264

For some reason it says selected 640×465? is there a way to make sure it fits to scale? or stretch it somehow to scale or is this done pre compressor.

P.S. Am I doing something wrong on this forum do I need to introduce myself before anyone answers any posts? (asking just incase)

    Thank you very much

    Ryan

I just use the Compressor iPhone default and it works great. In the Settings area choose Apple, Apple Devices, and then I like the “H.264 for iPod video and iPhone 640 x 480.” and it will do the rest.
