  Mac Pro upgrade?

  I have been wonder if it’s worth it to upgrade a Mac Pro Tower from roughly 6 years ago? I wanna upgrade the graphics cards, and add more drive space, maybe throw in another 2-4GB of RAM which would bring me up to 10-12GB. It’s still a great computer and my workhorse computer for encoding and rendering. The thing is it’s running an older graphics card, and I want to run FCPX and Motion 5 on it. (I actually enjoy using FCPX.) also if I even do decide to get Premiere I’d like to use it to its fullest potentional.

  Is it worth it? I’d be saving a ton of money, but not sure if I should just buy an iMac instead.

  I’m in the same boat, need to upgrade an older machine.
  Wait till Q1 2012 and see what Apple does with the Desktops.
