Get a 32GB flash drive…or a small firewire drive. Trying to break up the footage so it fits onto eight or nine 4.7GB DVDs is silly.

There’s no reason why it shouldn’t work. Data files are data files, regardless of the medium they’re delivered on… unless you’re coming from a Mac and going to a PC – then you have to be sure your hard drive or flash drive is formatted properly (FAT32) and no one file exceeds 2GB in size. Data files on a disc don’t have this issue.

Once your international buddy has their copy of your footage, all you have to send between you is the project file, which is very much smaller and could be an Email atachment or simple FTP.

    Make Data-DVDs.
You need Toast and 8 disks; 4 if they are Double Layer.
