  MacBookPro – Which graphics card? 6490M, or the 6750M?

  Hi

  I’m considering to buy a MacBookPro, and I have an option to choose between the AMD Radeon HD 6490M with 256MB GDDR5 memory, or the AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 1GB GDDR5 memory. Will I see any performance change when working with FCP, or is it only in games that the 1GB card makes any difference?

  Makes no real difference with FCP 7. Motion (any version) and FCPX will take advantage of the video cards; more ram is better- The 6750 will have a longer lifespan.
