If I edit a project in Proxy Video, or optimized video for that matter, will the end result after I’ve exported it be as good as the original? The lesser quality of Proxy is only to make the editing process easier right? When Im done, it will apply my changes to the original quality video?

    Sorry if its too basic.

You are correct, when you edit with Proxy video it is easier for your computer to handle because the “Proxy” file is a lower quality version of your original media. When you are finished with your edit you take the Proxy files offline and re-link the sequence to your original media.
