  newbie?: output res + size

  My org .mov is 720×480 (853×480), when I render it becomes 720×480 (872×480). Also the rendered file is aprox 1.3 gb where the org file is <200 mb? I’m guessing I’m missing some settings. Thanks!

  Specs man?????

  What is the format and codec of the clip? (Look in browser)

  When you drop it in a sequence, do the settings match?

  What is your destination? Web? DVD?

  Well, you have very compressed video (probably in the h.264 format) and you’ve rendered it – in a format that FCP can handle ‘well’ (probably DV or ProRes) and it’s not as compressed (which is a good thing.)

  Video eats 1g/min uncompressed SD.
