  LineArt Filter cets rid of Alpha Transparency

  Hi, I am making an animation, and the LineSrt Filter looks really good for some of my characters.. but the problem is I am using imported “cutout” PNG character images.. they have a transparent background.. this works fine on final cut.. UNTILL I put the LineArt filter on it, then the background becomes white.. all the other filter work fine with the alpha channel, except this one, is there anyway round this?

  I REALLY like the LineArt filter on the characters.. and it owkrs much better than the lineart filter in photoshop otherwise I would just use that, then import it.

  There’s a pretty good video on Youtube about this: LineArt Filter with Chroma Keyer I know you’re using .png’s instead of a chroma keyed clip, but I think you may be able to get a good idea of the process. I hope this helps. Good luck!

  If you change the Paper Opacity to zero then you will not have a white background. If you don’t want the character to be see through then duplicate it and have the bottom ones tinted or add the levels and move the slider over so the character is only white. Then the line art character on top will show the detail.
