  fcp crashes frequently

  hi.
  i m working on JVC Hd700 & canon 5d markII footage in different & same projects.
  while working my FCP 7.03 crashes showing message “FCP quit unexpectedly while using AJAVIDEO output plugin”. while rendering some plugin effects it shows another message “out of memmory”.
  it crashes frequently every time i start editing.

  my system configuration.

  8 core mac pro
  16 G.B RAM
  AJA kona 3G
  nvidia fx4800 graphics card
  snow leopard 10.6.6

  please give me some info on this .

  Hi,

  This may not help at all. But I had a vexing spell of Final Cut crashes for a month or so. Couldn’t figure out what the heck was going on and trashed preferences several times and went through disk permissions and all kinds of other likely suspects.

  Then I happened to notice one time it crashed that my Time Machine was doing an automatic backup. I shut off time machine backup and worked for a few hours with no crashing. Turned it back on and got crashes.

  Hope your issue is as simple as that.
