Final Cut Pro Easy Setup – Audio/Video Settings Change
PLEASE HELP
I have 2 projects that are very important and need completion. I had been complaining about poor playback but continued hoping that the footage would be fine once rendered and compressed.
I am a real newbie to FCP7 and I didn’t know that you need to change the “easy setup” before starting a project.
I am using a Canon 60D SLR and converted the footage to Prores 422 (LT) 1920X1080 and I have been working with it in Final Cut Pro 7 but the Video & Audio setting are set to the default, as follows:
DV NTSC 48 Khz
Frame Size: 720X480
29.97fpsObviously they should be set to the Prores 422 LT – could this be why i am seeing very poor quality in playback in FCP7? I is really blurry and hard to work with.
Now when I go to compressor to finish my film, the highest size i can push the film is 720X480 !!!
Is there a way of changing the Audio & Video setup for it to work on footage that is already in a timeline. I have read that if you make changes to these settings that footage in the your current timeline will not be able to be played and will be useless.
I have been working on this project for sometime and I am afraid of having to re-edit the whole thing from scratch. Arhhhhhhh!
Any information would be great to help me in changing these settings, if it is even the possibly to affect the clips in the timeline.
The footage is coming out blurry as well and I think this may be due to the same reason it is not set to Prores 422 LT.
I am happy to provide additional information if needed
PLEASE HELP!
Thanks in advance 🙂
