    hi i know how to do the pleasantville effect in fcp,but is there a trick to doing it with green screening,it will work until i render and when the render is done the green screen background turns grey,and suggestions

    Do it in two stages, instead of all in one step. Maybe export/re-import a ref movie. Or, copy the matte from the green screen pass onto another track layer of the original, THEN treat the color picker tool on that layer, while the mask layer stays unmolested on it’s own track. Tha matte holds out the rest. That’s my first guess.

    hi mark when you say the color picker tool you mean color correction 3 tool,also matte from the green screen pass,explain there you mean the whole shot
