    Hi Natasha,

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with ‘FCP help.’ It will be able to answer a lot of questions that may come up as you start to learn FCP. I type in “shortcut tools” and was directed to all the shortcuts that you are interested in.

    Good Luck,

Natasha, I’m going to teach you right here on the cow, the top level tools in FCP. One of the things I do is teach for a living – if you learn to call these by these titles, you’ll have to memorize nothing.

    A is for Arrow
    G is for Group tool
    T is for Track selection
    R is for Roll
    S is for Slip
    B is for Blade
    Z is for Zoom
    C is for Crop
    P is for Pen

    😀

Good luck – and take a quick second and check help files – the cow is friendly, but often questions like this are actually easy to solve.

    Best,
