I have a 5:14 minute video (no audio track) that I exported from fcp in two different ways.

The first way I used the export QT Movie option and the burned it using idvd.

The second way I followed a site recommending a lossless png, exporting via quicktime conversion. When I exported I selected millions of colors+, dimensions 720×404 and de-interlaced source video. Then I burned it using idvd.

When played in the dvd player, both of these dvds did not work properly. When there was greater movement in the frame, the frame wobbled between a 16:9 widescreen size and a fit to screen sort of size. Am I making sense? There was no pixel fluctuation, it was just that the size of the screen would fluctuate suddenly when there was greater movement happening in the video.

    What am I doing wrong?

Export using compressor as an MPEG2 (preset: DVD: Best quality 90 minutes).

Its not the most beautiful compression in the world, but its a simple workflow.
